About me

Emna SELLAMI

Born in 1988, Emna SELLAMI is a Franco-Tunisian artist who was introduced to the world of art at a young age through a family passionate about art. She began her higher education at the School of Fine Arts in Tunisia and dedicated many years to it. After obtaining a master’s degree in aesthetics and contemporary art history at the University Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint Denis, she pursued years of doctoral research at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne on the reception of the human image. Today, Emna has decided to translate aesthetic and philosophical knowledge into abstract paintings that will have an impact on the viewer through voluptuous curves and the sensitivity of transparent colors.

Inspired by space and nature, Emna is a multidisciplinary artist who stands out for her experimental techniques such as alcohol ink painting on paper, wood, and plexiglass.

Geometry lies at the heart of abstract art, and Emna has chosen to sublimate the circle, drawing inspiration from natural and organic forms. With no beginning or end, the circle represents a form of perfection due to its perfect symmetry and smoothness. Like an oculus, Emna’s circles also allow the gaze to escape into a world where shapes and colors harmoniously come together.
